Method

Every sentence here that states a fact about a river, a rule or a group is a quote, shown in quotation marks with a link to where it came from. Before each update a script fetches every source again, with a User-Agent that names this site, and checks each quote word for word; anything it can’t find comes off the site. The last full check was November 1, 2026.

River readings are different: your browser asks USGS for them when the page loads, and each number shows USGS’s own time. We don’t rate rivers or flows.

ODNR’s web pages block automated checks, so ODNR facts here come from ODNR’s PDFs, which load normally. ODNR’s steelhead fishing maps are older PDF files, so check access with the park district before you go.
